An Easy Go To Guide to Make Tender Beef Jerky

02/18/2021

The low-fat, low-calories and high protein snack is something you must try as a post and pre-workout meal, late night ready to eat snack and a great travel buddy. It is light weight, portable and needs no refrigeration. However, for some people, the downside of everyone's favorite beef jerky is its tightness. With the right cut, great seasoning, and a wonderful beef jerky recipe, it is easy to make beef jerky that is tender. Check out the easy to go steps below:

  • Choose your favorite cut of meat and freeze it. When you freeze, it is easy to cut thin strips of meat.
  • Trim any extra fat from the meat. Cut it across the grain into long strips that are equal in size and thickness. Cutting the meat across the grain will result in a tender jerky.
  • Marinate the meat strips in your favorite ingredients and add 1 tbsp tenderizer for additional tenderness of the meat. Cover and refrigerate it for 8-10 hours or keep overnight.
  • Following this, dry the meat in a dehydrator or oven at the accurate temperature for 5-7 hours as mentioned in your beef jerky recipe.
  • Check the jerky to see if any moisture retains. If there, dry it for some more time.

Cool the jerky on paper towels. Store the jerky in air tight containers for longer shelf life.
